Ready for a sparkling adventure? ✨ Just a short hike from Nordre Spro pier on Nesodden, you’ll find the magical Kråkesølv (“Crow’s Silver”) Mines - narrow tunnels, glittering walls, and mysterious echoes make every step exciting for curious kids. ⛰️ Hiking tips for little feet 👣 Part 14. Fair warning though - this isn’t the easiest crawl for toddlers or very tiny feet (there’s some climbing and scrambling involved!). But for adventurous kids ready to explore, it’s 100% worth the trip. After exploring the caves, step (crawl) out to a stunning white beach with crystal-clear water. 📍From Nordre Spro pier on Nesodden, it’s about a 1-kilometer walk along the coast. However, we parked on top of "Nordre Spro vei" and followed the "midlertidig kyststi" for a bit more hiking - still super short. The mine itself is a narrow tunnel stretching about 30 meters into the rock, ending in a mighty chamber. The walls shimmer with Kråkesølv - or muscovite, as geologists call it - glittering in the sunlight. We were covered, and our house had sparkling traces of it for days after! Tips: Bring rubber or Gore-Tex boots, magnifying glass, jars for collecting treasures, and flashlight/headlamp.
