Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba leads the entrustment of 25 crossbred female buffaloes to the KASAKA Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) in Barangay San Marcelino, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, on July 24, 2026. Valued at ₱80,000 per head, the 25 crossbred female buffaloes amount to a total project cost of ₱2,000,000 under the GAA 2026 Carabao Herd Build-up Project through the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC). The KASAKA SLPA, a 25-member association organized under the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), previously received ₱500,000 in livelihood assistance through the support of Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba during its graduation in October 2025. Since then, the association has continued to expand its livelihood initiatives through skills training, sustainable farming, and partnerships with government agencies and private organizations. Its members have also completed Organic Agriculture NC II training through the SM Foundation and actively market their produce at the SM Weekend Market every Saturday and Sunday.
