My journey with Amazon started back in college, when it seemed like getting rich was as easy as finding a great product, throwing up a store, and turning on some ads. (It wasn’t) I built and sold my first Amazon store by the time I was leaving college. That might sound like a flex. (It’s not) The truth is, building a brand was really hard. And I wasn’t that good at it. I picked products that looked great on paper… but were brutal to actually scale. I learned the hard way that “good product” and “profitable brand” are not the same thing. And while I was figuring out the messy parts of inventory, positioning, margins, and operations… Only thing I was good at … was PPC. That’s the reason I was able to sell my store for a little bit of money at the time.
