Design in Action The challenge was to design leather garments that could be worn during the most demanding scenes of the worldโs greatest action filmsโallowing beautifully crafted leather jackets to adapt effortlessly to the dynamic movements of both the leading actors and their stunt performers. The solution, protected by an international patent, came in the form of Elastoseamยฎ๏ธ: a unique system of elasticized seams developed by the Matchless design team. For the first time, heroes such as James Bond, Ethan Hunt, and many others were free to perform their most spectacular action sequences with complete freedom of movementโwithout sacrificing elegance. Today, every Matchless garment is handcrafted in Italy in strictly limited, individually numbered editions. Chosen and worn by the heroes of major motion pictures, Matchless jackets uniquely combine history, tradition, technical performance, style, and elegance.
