Yesterday I made four rings. Only one survived the kiln. Three cracked after hours of designing, carving, refining, sanding, and firing. Along with the time, there was silver, bronze, stones, kiln firing, and all the little costs that add up behind the scenes. That's just part of making things by hand. Nobody posts the pieces that don't make it. But every artist, maker, potter, jeweler, painter, and woodworker has a pile of lessons that never make it to the website. The beautiful pieces you see exist because someone kept going after the ones that didn't. So today I'm choosing to celebrate the one that made it instead of mourning the three that didn't. Life works that way too. Not everything you pour your heart into will turn out the way you hoped. But if you stop creating because of the failures, you'll never make the thing that was waiting on the other side. Here's to trying again tomorrow. #HandmadeJewelry #JewelryMaker #ArtisanJewelry #MadeByHand #JewelryArtist #BehindTheScenes #TheMakerLife #SterlingSilverJewelry #OneOfAKindJewelry #KeepCreating
